Privacy Policy
This placeholder describes, in general terms, how MyCareBuddy handles personal and health data until the final, legally-reviewed policy replaces it.
What we store
With your consent, MyCareBuddy stores the health data you and your Care Circle enter: diagnosis, medications, medical documents, lab results, and related notes, along with account information such as your name and email address.
Who can see it
Health data is visible only to the members of your Care Circle — the patient and the caregivers they've invited. MyCareBuddy staff cannot view your health data; administrative access is structurally limited to account metadata (e.g. whether an account exists and is active), never health content.
Cookies
MyCareBuddy uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to run the app. We never use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. Because these cookies are essential, we don't need to ask for your consent to set them — we disclose them here for transparency instead.
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in and remembers your Care Circle as you move between pages. Lasts for your session, up to 2 hours of inactivity.
- CSRF cookie — protects your account and forms from cross-site request forgery attacks. Lasts for your session.
- "Remember me" cookie — keeps you signed in between visits, only set if you check "Remember me" when logging in. Lasts up to 5 years, or until you log out.
- Cookie notice cookie — remembers that you've seen and dismissed the cookie notice, so we don't show it again. Lasts up to 1 year.
Your rights
You can view what you've consented to and when, export a copy of your data, and delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & consent.
